Big Ben Is Mad That The Patriots Used A Goal Line Shift on Defense - "That's One of the Things They Do. Welcome To Foxborough"

(I don’t care if nobody buys this shirt.  It’s my favorite shirt ever.   A real thinking man’s Pats shirt.)

NBC – According to Tom Pelissero of USA Today, the Steelers were also angry about the Patriots’ tactic of shifting their defensive line en masse to try to draw a penalty — which worked during a disastrous goal-line sequence for Pittsburgh. On third-and-goal from the Patriots’ 1-yard line, Steelers left tackle Kelvin Beachum was flagged for a false start after the shift, which quarterback Ben Roethlisbergerimmediately began to protest, “I thought that there was a rule against that,” Roethlisberger said. “Maybe there’s not. Maybe it’s just an unwritten rule. . . . We saw it on film, that the Patriots do that. They shift and slide and do stuff on the goal line, knowing that it’s an itchy trigger finger-type down there.” It’s a legal move so long as the Patriots don’t cross the line of scrimmage, which they didn’t appear to in this instance. “They time it up in the cadence,” Steelers left guard Ramon Foster said. “Yeah, that’s one of the things they do. Welcome to Foxborough. . . .

GASP!!!!!!!! Oh the horror! PINK STRIPES! PINK STRIPES! The big bad Patriots employing a dastardly goal line shift! NOOOOO! Not that! Is there no low the Pats won’t sink to in order to win football games? I mean to break the goalline shift rule, well maybe the unwritten rule, well maybe the no rule at all. How could Pittsburgh ever defend against that blindside tactic? How could they ever prepare for that type of stunt that Big Ben said the Steelers had repeatedly seen on film? Somebody raise Arlen Spector from the dead! Bring in Mike Kensil! Get Mark Brunell on the phone! The Patriots goalline defense shifted! THE HORROR!
